Important Dates for Year-End Giving with your Donor-Advised Fund
As the year draws to an end, it is natural to reflect on the past months and look forward to the future. What path has your philanthropy taken this year, and where will your giving lead in the coming years?

Grant Recommendation Deadlines

In order for NPT to review, approve and send grant payments in 2022, we ask that you: | Enter grant recommendations by 11:59 p.m. ET on December 19. Approved grants will be distributed on or before December 30. |
If you hope to have your grant recommendation approved in 2022 with grant payments sent early in 2023, we ask that you: | Enter grant recommendation by 11:59 p.m. ET on December 23. Grants approved in 2022 will be distributed on or before January 5, 2023. |
DAF Contribution Deadlines
The end of the year is also an excellent time to replenish your charitable capital by contributing to your donor-advised fund. Deadlines for different asset types can be found here, as well as in NPT’s GivingPoint.
Refer to these important dates to ensure that your contributions—of any type—are received by December 31. Following these guidelines will help to ensure that NPT receives your contributions by December 31 for treatment as a 2022 gift.
Most assets require the submission of a Contribution Agreement, which may be completed online via the donor portal.
